Misspelled Auctions
There's a popular Power Seller tool that locates misspelled auctions. The idea behind it is, misspelled listings won't get many bids because they don't show up in regular searches. Then you can swoop down and get the item for a low bid. And it worked a couple of years ago. I use to find deals for the stuff I collected. But I didn't use the tool, it was pricey. The problem is that so many people are using this tool now, the misspelled items are getting lots of bids. A couple of months ago, I did a search for A&F pants. I wanted to see how much they were selling for, because I was thinking about buying some wholesale. I accidentally misspelled it in the search, and got one result. But that one listing had 9 bids. I realized my mistake and did another search with the correct spelling. I got several pages of results. Some didn't have any bids, and some just had 1or 2. Since then, just for fun, I sometimes misspell my titles. It only works with things that are real popular or collectible, but also have allot of listings.

Auction Page Load Time
If your auction page takes forever to load, your prospective buyer will go elsewhere, or if they really want the item, they'll click the "bid now" button at the top of the page without reading your description. Then you could get an irate buyer complaining about that tiny little scratch on your item, because they never saw where you mentioned the scratch in your description.

1. Don't have a bunch of extra stuff like music and animated .gifs.

2. Crop your images as much as you can, then resize them. Even if you're using a third party listing program like Auctiva or Andale that puts a smaller image in the auction with a "Click To Enlarge" option. They don't actually make the image smaller. They just scrunch it into the perimeters of their image box. You can crop and resize your images here: http://www.resize2mail.com/?option=crop

3. In most cases, you only need 1 or 2 images. If you think you really need several images, put 2 in the listing, then offer the other images via email, or use the slideshow thingy that ebay offers.
